The objective of our preschool program is to stimulate self-confidence, curiosity, self-discipline, creativity and cooperation. The curriculum encompasses language, physical, social and academic skills.

Our young preschool classes (ages 2 ½ to 3 ½) are structured around a different theme each week. Some covered topics are the seasons, holidays, animals, self-awareness, and community events. Art projects and learning activities expand on the theme, along with stories, dramatic play and sensory exploration. Academics such as reading and math readiness are incorporated into activities and lessons in a relaxed manner.

Our older preschool classes (ages 3 ½ and up) follow a science-based curriculum with the focus on developing a scientific world view. Children are encouraged to ask questions about the world around them and then to seek answers through action and observations. Collecting objects, counting and measuring, organizing materials, making observations and discussing results are part of the everyday work of our young scientists in the classroom.

Art and craft activities are a regular part of the daily program. Children develop their creativity and express themselves through painting, printing, drawing, and sculpting. Through crafts, children develop fine-motor skills, hand-eye coordination and a sense of accomplishment.

The school offers a wide variety of learning centers in each classroom; block area, library, science/math center, art center and dramatic play area. Singing and rhythm activities are a regular feature. We have our very own music teacher on staff to offer organized music classes to the students twice a week. Our policy is to encourage children to exercise their decision- making skills during classroom activities in order to facilitate the development of self-confidence and independence.

Parents provide a blanket and a change of clothes.
